Spam and Virus Detection
The Email Security system is deployed upstream of the client’s email server, acting as an intermediary gateway for sending and receiving emails. Its primary role is to protect the client’s email server from spam, viruses, trojans, and phishing emails. All inbound and outbound emails are analyzed and cross-checked against an extensive database of spam, virus, phishing, and trojan signatures that vHost has accumulated over nearly 12 years.

Scan virus
The virus scanning engine is integrated with the Avast Business and Google Safe Browsing databases to detect and block malicious links and virus-infected payloads within emails.
Avast Business for Linux is a commercially licensed antivirus software specifically optimized for Linux environments. It is engineered and continuously updated to detect trojans, viruses, malware, and emerging cyber threats. This threat database and attack signatures are integrated and updated daily by vHost across all Email Security Gateway servers.

Spam Detection
The Email Security Gateway system at vHost utilizes a combination of local databases and network-level checks to classify and filter spam. This multi-layered approach makes it exceptionally difficult for spammers to bypass the security defenses. Every email undergoes deep analysis and is assigned a spam score based on multiple heuristic variables.

Receiver Verification
The majority of spam emails sent to your system target random, non-existent addresses. The vHost Email Security system automatically analyzes, detects, and drops these emails before they reach your destination server. This process eliminates nearly 90% of spam and significantly reduces the processing load on your primary mail server.

Sender policy framework (SPF)
SPF is an industry-standard email authentication method that prevents unauthorized senders from dispatching emails from arbitrary servers. The vHost Email Security system validates the sender’s SPF record to determine the legitimacy of an email before passing it to subsequent security checks.

DNS-based Blackhole List
The DNS Blackhole List (DNSBL) is a globally recognized database containing IP addresses and domains associated with spamming activities. It is utilized by major email organizations worldwide to quickly verify and block known malicious sources.

SMTP Whitelist
This feature allows you to add specific sender addresses to a whitelist, enabling their emails to bypass the filtering system and be delivered directly to the inbox without scanning.

Bayesian Filter – Automated Spam Training Engine
Certain words frequently appear in both spam and legitimate emails. Through automated training and contextual analysis, the Bayesian filter evaluates every email to dynamically determine whether specific wording indicates spam, continuously updating its database. This entire adaptation process is fully automated and requires no manual intervention.

Black & Whitelist
The Blacklist and Whitelist management tool allows you to define specific domains, email addresses, IPs, LDAP groups, LDAP users, or regular expressions. You can then assign corresponding actions to these rules, such as Block, Accept, or Quarantine.

Spam URI Realtime Blocklist (SURBL)
While DNSBL is used to detect whether the sender’s origin IP/domain is a known spammer, SURBL is leveraged to analyze the hyperlinks (URIs) embedded within the email body. This allows the system to accurately detect if the message contains links leading to malicious sites, spam landing pages, viruses, trojans, or phishing scams

With the centralized Tracking Center, system administrators can effortlessly monitor and audit all inbound and outbound emails. The system provides real-time insights into crucial data, including arrival timestamps, filtering system outcomes, internal queue statuses, and final delivery details.

The vHost Email Security Gateway is engineered as a robust, large-scale cluster, deployed and synchronized across 5 distinct data centers both within Vietnam and internationally. In the event of a localized data center outage, the entire Email Security infrastructure seamlessly continues operation and processing without causing any service disruption.

Guaranteed Zero Email Loss: Should your destination mail server experience downtime for any reason, the vHost Email Security system will securely queue and retain your emails. It will automatically deliver them to your infrastructure the moment your mail server is back online.

Note: The vHost Email Security system will retain queued emails for a maximum of 7 days.

Vì một lý do nào đó do lỗi con người hoặc virus trên máy tính, email có thể được gửi đến người khác một cách vô ý. Trong email Quý khách có thể tự động bổ sung các tuyên bố trách nhiệm pháp lý đối với người nhận các email này một cách vô ý.

Với hệ thống Email Security, vHost có thể giúp quý khách cấu hình toàn bộ email được gửi vào và ra sẽ được tự động BCC đến một địa chỉ email mà Quý khách quy định để phục vụ cho các mục đích tra cứu và phục vụ tính pháp lý theo yêu cầu của công ty.
