vHost was established in the final months of 2010. Despite entering a market crowded with long-standing “hosting giants” possessing immense financial resources and intense competition from numerous startups, vHost successfully carved out a solid market position. This was achieved through exceptional service quality, dedicated support, competitive pricing, and attentive after-sales care.
Our founding and initial operational phase coincided with a global economic crisis that was growing increasingly severe. We continuously strived to identify our “Unique Selling Points” (USPs) to survive, compete, and thrive.
We pride ourselves on being the pioneer and market leader in successfully leveraging Internet marketing solutions for customer acquisition. Back in 2012, almost no other hosting provider in Vietnam had successfully applied Internet marketing within the hosting industry. Since 2013, the market has seen positive shifts, with more companies adopting Internet marketing strategies.

First M&A Deal

Cloud Computing Launch & Expansion
January 2014: Became the first company in Vietnam to support CentOS in building server mirrors in Vietnam. This system was the first and only one of its kind in the country. Read more.

2015
Next-Gen Cloud & Global Partnerships
May 2015: Launched Singapore Cloud services with infrastructure fully and proactively managed by vHost.
During the same period, vHost rolled out its Next-Generation Cloud system and hosted an interactive customer seminar.
Appointed as the first and exclusive WHMCS reseller in Vietnam, as well as the first Softaculous partner in the country.
July 2015: Signed a strategic partnership with Viettel IDC to utilize an additional datacenter in Binh Duong, expanding the infrastructure footprint to 3 distinct locations (2 in Vietnam and 1 in Singapore).
September 2015: Became the first hosting provider in Vietnam to partner with Microsoft to deploy and distribute official Microsoft software licenses directly within vHost’s ecosystem and to end-users.
2016
Distributed Storage & Global Benchmarking
Launched a proprietary backup service developed and deployed in-house based on user demand.
April 2016: Appointed as the first Authorized Reseller Partner of Cloudflare in Vietnam.
May 2016: Deployed the 3rd Cloud server cluster at Viettel Ho Chi Minh datacenter and concurrently launched the 4th Cloud cluster at Viettel Hanoi datacenter.
August 2016: Became an official partner of cPanel and CloudLinux in Vietnam.
Successfully deployed a Distributed Storage system for standard VPS and Cloud services across all corporate datacenters.
Conducted a performance benchmark comparing vHost VPS configurations against global giants (AWS EC2, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean, Vultr, Linode). The benchmark results demonstrated that vHost VPS delivered the highest performance metrics among the tested providers.
In the same year, vHost launched its CDN service with a global network of over 170 edge servers.
2017
Infrastructure Upgrades & Cloud Gen 3
June 2017: Developed and expanded market share by introducing Reseller Hosting services tailored for agency clients.
July 2017: Became the first partner of SpamExperts in Vietnam — a global leader in Email security and anti-spam solutions. Concurrently, vHost integrated automated spam, virus, and phishing filtering features across all corporate Email services.
August 2017: Upgraded the entire Linux Hosting service infrastructure from standard SSDs to Enterprise SSDs, maximizing system performance for customers.
November 2017: Officially rolled out the 3rd-generation Cloud Server (Cloud VPS) system, leading the market in efficiency.
2018
Supporting the Way Customers Want
May 2018: Upgraded the underlying cloud architecture from the OnApp platform to an in-house developed and deployed system.
June 2018: Selected cPanel, Inc. (AutoSSL) to replace the free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates for enhanced stability.
November 2018: Realized the philosophy of “Supporting the way customers want” by expanding into nearly 10 nationwide popular communication channels: Livechat, Callback, Zalo, Viber, Skype, Telegram, and more.
2019
IPv6 Integration & Automated Infrastructure
March 2019: Officially commercialized IPv6 across vHost services. Simultaneously integrated NodeJS technology and Imunify360 security solutions into all Shared Hosting plans.
May 2019: Represented the country as one of Vietnam’s leading hosting providers alongside officials from the Ministry of Information and Communications at the opening ceremony of Vietnam IPv6 Day 2019. Following the event, IPv6 was rolled out across Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi, and Singapore datacenters.
June 2019: Developed and launched Auto-Server, an automated bare-metal deployment and server management solution controlled entirely via a web interface.
November 2019: Unveiled an 80Gbps high-bandwidth Cloud Server infrastructure at the Viettel Ho Chi Minh datacenter.
2020
Marking a 10-Year Milestone
June 2020: Pioneered a dynamic resource allocation feature for Reseller Hosting services, allowing agency clients to independently partition their quotas.
September 2020: Marked a decade of growth with notable achievements: establishing a footprint across 5 Tier III datacenters domestically and internationally; independently developing and managing full-stack Cloud infrastructures (Cloud Servers, CDN, Object Storage, Auto-Server); and providing architectural consultation for enterprise cloud systems in foreign markets like Singapore and India.
December 2020: The entire vHost engineering team successfully obtained cPanel Certified Partner credentials in the Vietnamese market.
2021
The Cybersecurity Triad for Enterprises
January 2021: Successfully upgraded to a 10Gbps core network layout across all 5 domestic and international datacenters.
February 2021: Successfully mitigated and defended against major ransomware and extortion network attacks targeting various service providers in Vietnam. Read more.
April 2021: Supported businesses through the digital transformation wave amid COVID-19 disruptions in HCMC by permanently upgrading Hosting and Email storage quotas by 10x at no extra cost.
June 2021: Launched Premium DNS services, allowing intelligent GeoDNS routing to direct traffic to the nearest server, ensuring optimal website availability. Read more.
